We also held steady in the Coaches Poll at 24 but went up from 68 to 83 votes.
#15 Vandy loses to unranked Oklahoma and remain #15? Huh?
No they dropped to 19
Ahh … UVA is 15
If you0, as a voter, don’t have us at at least #25, why do you hate joy?
This is such bs. 24-0, two recent road wins, and not even a bump.
We actually did get more votes than last week, but not enough to move up in the rankings. There are several voters who don’t even look at us and simply discount us due to our schedule. A team can have a weak schedule and still be good. Binghamton has had the 4th easiest schedule in the nation, and they’re 5-20. Being undefeated in February is impressive no matter who you’ve played.
“BUT THE METRICS” they whine instead of actually watching us play.
We need to invite Mark Berman to Millett on Friday to be an honored guest.
How about Len Berman? Or mht legend Beerman?
I miss @Ex-Beerman. Some of my favorite memories at Miami involved buying Reds tickets for essentially nothing, sitting wherever I wanted at GAB, and hanging with Beerman when he would come around to serve me (while conveniently forgetting to ask for my ID).
Is Beerman still walking these parts or is he drinking cold ones with DICK?
He’s still here. I recall him liking a post of mine not too long ago. Loved it when I could hear him on radio during Reds games.
=>So one time at a miami alumni event at a Dayton Dragons game, I asked @ex-Beerman to go over to the beer vendor and show him how they sell beer in The Show. And he did. “COOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLD BEEEEEEEER” echoed throughout (then) 5th/3rd Field.
I don’t know what happened to that Dragon’s beer vendor, but I can only imagine he was inspired to sell harder and one day made the majors.
Didn’t he used to say “here” after it? I totally recall it being three words. Cold beer here.
The “here” was said kind of affected like “heeaaahhh”
Maybe @Ex-Beerman will chime in on this.
I do know he would regularly draw loud applause whenever he’d belt out his legendary beer call.
Up to 22
Louisville hopped us, and Clemson and BYU dropped.
For all the haters leaving derogatory comments about Miami on Facebook postings: There are 9 teams in the Top 25 with 6 losses or more. Pretending they’re all serious contenders is ludicrous. A team doesn’t need to be projected for the Final Four to make into the Top 25.
