There’s been no reporting on whether we’d have to forego some of the TV revenue once we (hypothetically) got in, right? Because if we could write the big upfront check and immediately start reaping the full TV benefits, the down payment would be paid off pretty quickly …

I agree, though I’m assuming Sayler would be the initiator among university admin. I’m guessing Crawford and the BOT aren’t the ones keeping up with the minutiae of college sports and what’s required for Miami to keep pace/grow in the modern landscape.
Crawford actually seems quite engaged with athletics. He stopped by our table at Pitt and he was fully aware of Woolfolk and everything around him. He also spoke fluently on things going on with athletics in multiple sports
It was night and day from former president Hodges who may or may not have known Miami even had teams beyond showing up at games and waving.

It feels like we paid a PR firm to put this out. Not saying that’s a bad thing but it feels a little manufactured. That said, it’s a smart play and I bet we get calls from other conferences. Me, I won’t miss the decrepit podium at MAC day.
