The only team that allegedly beat us this year!
Akron is up by 34 on NIU. They’re currently sitting at 56 in NET. If they can run up the score enough to make the top 50, they’d be a Q1 game in Cleveland.
Hopefully not relevant.
Must be so boring being an Akron fan and just winning every MAC game by double digits.
Could very well be relevant because a quad 1 win in addition to being undefeated could be a seed line bump…
Possible but every other team in the 8-11 range will have Q1 wins. I’m pretty set in expecting a 10 if we win out, an 11 if we lose in Cleveland, and hold on to your butts if we lose tonight and Cleveland.
Won’t matter unless we lose to them. If we win against them they’ll go back down
CMU getting killed. Looks like we will play UMass in Cleveland Thursday
Not my preferred matchup
Nope.Thats a bad matchup for us.
Miami is 30-0. Miami is a bad matchup for teams.
Eh, I felt like we figured them out after we played them the first time. We were much better on Banks, and while Bettiol is going to get his points against us, I thought we limited the damage from him.
Buffalo without Freitag sucks, but UMass is a very flawed team as well.
We’ve figured out a way to win close games. UMass figures out a way to lose close games. I’m more concerned about getting rest and getting healthy. Taking the weekend off from practice and just watching film and lifting/light conditioning isn’t the worst idea.
Yeah I’m not sure I’d practice until they go to Cleveland.
Edited.
UMass got a bye tonight, so they’ll be fully rested for the first round.
Fully rested but maybe out of rhythm. They’ll be off more than a week which usually only happens over Christmas and there’s no tune-up game to get ready.
Final 5k attendance MAC games of the season list. I expect the tournament will have very good sales this year as well, especially if the semis is Miami, Akron, and Kent St as 3 of them. Top 7 games in attendance all involved us, for obvious reasons.
10,740 Miami @ Ohio
10,640 NIU @ Miami
10,640 OU @ Miami
10,640 Toledo @ Miami
10,127 BG @ Miami

7,524 Miami @ UMass
6,850 Toledo @ BG
6,404 Toledo @ Ohio
6,327 Miami @ Kent St
6,327 Akron @ Kent St
5,429 EMU @ Toledo
5,352 BG @ CMU
5,143 Miami @ Toledo
5,096 Buffalo @ UMass
5,088 UB @ Miami
Still shocking to me that Akron only broke 3,000 once all year, 4847 for Kent, in their best season in school history.
MAC students overall really do seem to be conditioned to attend games only if a number appears before the school’s name.
Certainly true, but there are 6 games over 5k not involving ranked teams. To crack 3000 fans only once for a program having a year like Akron is pretty crazy.
Miami fans are the epitome of bandwagon fans, as this year proved, but even last year we had crowds of 5k+ for 3 games.
Akron this year was a special team and they couldn’t get anyone in NE Ohio to care.
Yes, but even last season we had good numbers down the stretch (with the free ticket giveaways) and averaged well over 4K after J-term if I recall. Akron is a much different university than Miami but it’s not good for the MAC if our second best team to draw like that.
