‘23 Commits senior season

Unlike most recruiting sites, this one is ranking the teams according to average score of the recruits instead of just adding up each recruit’s score and then ranking by total points.

2nd in the conference, 117th nationally. And it appears that it’s based on average scores, not weighted based on the number of recruits. Considering the fact that we have five incoming players, this looks like a legit top 100 class.

Friday night LexCath won the district championship 61-39 over Lexington Christian. Reece Potter with 13 and named tourney MVP.

Lexington Catholic’s 7-foot senior center Reece Potter scored 11 of his game-high 26 points in the first quarter Tuesday to help give the No. 2 Knights an early edge they would never relinquish in their 69-50 home win over Madison Southern in the first round of the boys’ 11th Region basketball tournament. “I was just trying to get going early because I know if I get going, everybody else gets going because we feed inside out,” said Potter, who also had seven rebounds and five blocks. “Tonight was my night. Who knows who it’s going to be (Saturday).”

Earlier in the season, Potter played against Malachi Moreno, a 4 star 6’11" sophomore center with offers from Ohio State, Purdue, and plenty of others. They played to an impressive draw, with Potter’s LC getting the win, and they’ll match up against each other again in the tourney. Article from their first matchup

Nice…this shows a bit of where Steele’s recruiting eye/level is at in terms of evaluation…neither Elmer or Kotecki had much buzz or numbers when started recruiting them, both had solid to great Senior years.
