2027 schedule finalized

vs UC, Stonehill
@ Purdue, WKU

If you’ve never heard of Stonehill, it’s because they just moved up from D2 last year.

Yep. In Easton, Mass - Skyhawks also play D1 Hockey.

I was going to say… is Stonehill even FCS? Good for them for making the jump.

They’re in the NEC

Very interesting if CM heads to Northwestern next year, and takes Gabbert with.

Comparing “Future College Football Schedules” list to Miami’s FB future schedule, FCFS lists the following games that Miami has yet to show:

2024—9/21 at Notre Dame
2025—9/27 Lindenwood
2026—9/12 Holy Cross
9/26 at James Madison
2027—9/04 Stonehill
2028—9/16 James Madison
2029—9/15 Norfolk State

Chuck Martin will NEVER be a Big Ten head coach!

All the games have contracts listed on the University website. This board has been relentless on the athletic department staff, are you really surprised they haven’t taken the time to update something as minor as the future schedules on the website?

Updating the schedule, as I did, took all of three minutes.

Future games should be easy to do on the football page …I wouldn’t know where on the “University website” to find football contracts…

Are we still thinking Mizzou game in 2025 doesn’t get played? Personally, I think they pay us to get out of it.

If it does, our schedule is brutal the next two years (3 P4 games in both 24 and 25)

How many things have people complained about on here that just takes three minutes that never get done in the department? They just don’t update it, if you really need to see it on the website send them an email.

The buyout goes from $750k to a million on 1/1/24. So, if they are going to buy it out, I’d expect them to do it this year.

I personally think it’s somewhat likely it is played. Mizzou already has 3 home OOC games that year (Kansas, UMass and Louisiana). Most likely scenario to me would be if the SEC goes to 9 conference games, but I haven’t heard anything about that recently.

I think it likely will be played in Oxford. Missouri has played games at several MAC schools. I personally attended a Missouri at Ball State game and drove past the BG stadium when Missouri played there.

Who keeps saying this? CM is not a P5 coach, period. No matter how bad the P5 program is.

I guess we will see huh?

If we finish 12-1 or 11-2, including a MAC title, this year I could see CM getting a job at a P5 school that doesn’t want to pay 4mm+ per year for a coach. I certainly don’t think it would be a slam dunk hire, but it’s in the realm of possibility.

I don’t know what this means. The Miami athletic dept fails to complete rudimentary public-facing tasks that every other university does as a matter of course. Updating future schedules is a perfect example. This is a 1 hour task for any staff or even an intern. Our university’s athletic department does not have a large fanbase to answer to and they conduct themselves accordingly.

You said better what I was trying to say, you got my point exactly.

However I am also amazed that people on the board keep bringing up the fact future schedules is not updated on the website. Yes it is easy to do and yes the department obviously is not worried about it. But it cracks up people act like there is some big conspiracy because a game is listed on FBschedules and not on the football website. No conspiracies, just the staff not doing the easy things. It has been this way for years, it should not be a surprise to anyone. Is it right? No, but until the current staff leaves or they hire someone new, this is just how it is going to be.

Just for comparison looking at Ohio State’s schedule, they’ve only posted the next two years and are missing a game against Ohio in 25, when their entire OOC schedule is known through 2028.

It’s definitely easy to update, but I just don’t know how much it really matters. Seems to me like Miami’s approach to just publicly post the contracts so they don’t have to wait to get FOIAed and not bothering updating elsewhere is perfectly adequate.

That’s just because they don’t want to advertise that Rufus the Bobcat is guaranteed to kick Brutus’ ass again in ‘25.
