Yes. Check your spam (where @Nickskin found his). They come in an email from SeatGeek with the subject line “Alexandra Weikel wants to send you tickets!”
Appreciate it, thank you.
Thank you folks.
@MiamiJohn Call the Cavs ticket office and ask for Angela Rizzo. I’m sure there are seats still available.
=>Now I am worried.
I ordered my MAC tournament tix from Miami a number of weeks ago and have not received them. Not in junk/spam.
Likewise, and just took a look at my spam filter. Don’t want to go back!
=>I just called the ticket office. The nice lady confirmed my order that I placed. She said they have not sent them all out yet and it may take a few days as they are doing these one by one in order of when those were placed. Do that is why some have got some and others have not.
Truth is I probably got bumped to back of line because I did not give $240 after Miami’s 24th victory.
When I first called the Miami Ticket Office some weeks ago they said tickets wouldn’t be available until both teams clinched and they expected a small allotment. Having had many decades of experience with our ticket office that wasn’t good enough for me. I called Rocket Arena and they put me in touch with the Cavs ticket office. My seats and those of two friends aren’t in the “Miami section” but they’re great seats and we got them within minutes. You will have to register on Seat Geek, their official distributors.
Also worth mentioning that all women’s games are general admission. I paid $219 for all sessions, about $31 per session or $15 per game.
=>Just got my tix from Miami today. Let’s just say I am reminded of this old commercial.
Received mine as well. Glad I read this thread, because otherwise I would have deleted “Alexandra’s” email for sure!
CMU trailing by 16. Looks like we’re getting UMass.
Not great - and Akron gets an easier first game vs Buffalo
We beat the shit out of UMass in their barn when they had two bums combine for 8 threes. I am not concerned.
UB announces they don’t expect Freitag to exit concussion protocol and participate this week.
As I said, I think UMass is flawed and we handle them again, but kind of sucks we get a dangerous UMass at 8 and Akron draws UB who is just BAD without Freitag.
Eh, this will just continue the streak of Miami getting battle scars while Akron cruises. It’s the way of the college basketball universe right now.
I’m not overly worried about UMass. We beat them by 9 at their place, and while we barley beat them at home, remember, Skaljac was sick. Luke may not be 100% now, but Perry has drastically improved over the past several weeks.
Perry didn’t even start that game, it was suder handling the ball. I think kirby got the start
Yeah they had way out of character good shooting nights both games, it will be physical for sure but UMass doesn’t overly concern me.
A big part of Thursday’s game will be who finds that tournament intensity level first. Any team that gets a bye has a disadvantage at the start of the game because their opponent has already experienced the one-and-done intensity. However, with no byes in the MAC, that disadvantage is gone and it comes down to which team finds that level first.
Another thing will be the 11am tipoff. I’m guess there will be no pre-game shootaround or a very limited one at first, so who can find their legs first will have an advantage. I think it will be more important to go inside-out, drive and dish to find our offensive rhythm.
Lastly, I don’t think we’ll have this mindset, but we should forget about being the 1 seed. Keep the 1 game at a time mentality and focus on the next game. I think that’s what happens to these 1 seeds in early rounds that end up losing. They come out flat, thinking we’re the #1, let’s handle our business and get it done. We have to go get it just like everyone else.
I worry about everyone. When I was a varsity coach I worried when we scrimmaged the JV team. I am a worrier by nature.
