What happened to Salopek?
haven’t seen anything official but he did not participate in Miami’s pro day or the Bengals local pro day.
I’m sure someone has better intel but seems like his days playing football might be over
Great story…Hope he makes his mark on Sunday…
Shedeur is really falling, Gabbert might get drafted ahead of him at this rate
Gabbert posted on his instagram story today, was working out with several Bucs offensive players & baker mayfield.
Replacing his brother as the backup maybe
Two MAC players off the board quickly in round 3. Darius Alexander from Toledo at 65 to NYG and Harold Fannin (who got shut down by Miami every time we played) to CLE at 67
Poor Fannin. He still has to wear those hideous colors.
Every later round means less cheddar for Shedeur. Me, I think he can play but he must have concerned the scouts for some reason…
I believe that the reason that Shedeur is still undrafted is because no NFL team wants to deal with Deion. Several times he made comments about which team he would “allow” to draft him. Further, that he and Hunter should go 1-2. At the time, I thought that was stupid. The NFL doesn’t care about “Prime” and the circus that would be created by drafting Shedeur.
That, and apparently, he’s not what the NFL is looking for in a QB. Has to be devastating to the kid and Deion, but odds are they knew from the lack of interest pre-draft that he wasn’t going to be drafted early. Now, if he was a clear top 5 draft pick, somebody would have taken him and dealt with Deion’s BS.
Bottom line–any advice or directions Deion would give would be dealt with by telling him, “Thanks, but we got this now. Want to see him play? Buy a ticket.”
I watched him enough to be very impressed with his toughness, his accuracy and arm strength. He is the only guy that the Steelers can add now who is a possible franchise QB for the future. Otherwise this team will be hoping to make the playoffs with one of the last wild card picks and still have made no progress to finding the franchise QB for the future.
That glitzy draft room he built seems more like a bunker now.
Deion wouldn’t “allow” Shedeur to play for a couple of teams. I’m sure right now Deion would have been thrilled if either one of those teams picked his son at some point in the last 36 hours.
It’s odd Sean Payton was like “beware teams who don’t draft him…” but then he drafted the kid from Louisville!
Apparently his pre-draft interviews were terrible plus he didn’t work out at the combine. In a team sport people don’t want to take a chance on someone who’s all about himself plus there’s the drama his father brings. I wouldn’t want my team’s locker room culture to suffer because of this guy- if I’m another player I’d probably be pissed I’d have to work with him😂 Maybe they don’t care though as long as he can play…but I don’t think his talent is big enough to overcome the non-football red flags
Well, now he has to overcome the Cleveland QB curse.
That Cleveland qb room is surely something
Moral of the story is that across life (and the NFL) you can either be incompetent or an asshole, but not both. He just got a slap of reality and is gonna get more in the league.
Make no mistake. Cleveland deserves Shadeur and Shadeur deserves Cleveland
