2025 NFL Draft

A lot of talented players graduated this year and feels like a number of guys should get looks in the Draft, as UDFAs, or maybe in the UFL or CFL. Haven’t seen much buzz since the end of the season about the draft.

I know McDonald and Holskey were invited to the Hula Bowl which already occured but surprised that Salopek, Wise, Ugwu or Borders haven’t popped up on prospect bowl rosters.

Gabbert is appearing on Gruden’s FFCA show, but with his injury history maybe its more to kick off a coaching career.

Maybe Suttle, Mozee, Davis get camp tryouts. Anyone I’m missing or thoughts on which guys have a chance to get drafted/signed?

Borders and Ugwu went to the College Gridiron Showcase.

No players (current or former) invited to the NFL Combine

Only 4 MAC players Bilhal Kone from WMU, Fannin from BG, and Darius Alexander and Maxen hook from Toledo

Pro Day today. No Salopek on the list, is he injured or has called it a career?

For some reason, I remember seeing someone who looked like Salopek at a basketball game wearing a sling… could totally be wrong

Good article on how the FCS and lower prospects are getting squeezed out of the combine, same insights can carry over to G5 teams.

Wonder what 40 times were for Mozee and McDonald.

I’m surprised at Davis’ 40. I thought it would be lower based on the TD run in the bowl game….but maybe he’s just better at 40-96yards. Lol

It would be great if Davis spent his last semester at Miami running track. Miami has the pieces for a potential MAC champion 4 x 100 m relay team. Davis could be that final piece.

Stegall, Carpenter, Alexander and Benning….that was a good one

I think Sheldon White was a relay guy too….

The school record of 40.3 was set in 1993 and is held by Carpenter, Honroth, Stegall, and Johnson.

I think Sly Johnson played in the late 90s. Must’ve been another Johnson. I forgot that Gordon Benning was on the 4x400 with Milt.

I don’t recall a Honroth….

I was in the same recruiting class as Milt and in our freshman year training camp running test (we ran an 800 then a 400) he literally blew everyone off of the track.

Yeah, Sly played ‘97-2000.

Davis was a 4.41 right. I thought that was a good time

That 1988 team was…Well…winless…But Chris Alexander ran the ball pretty well.
