Oxford PD actually brought the hummer and other vehicles over so the recruits could take photos with them.

Cairo has a number of Ivy League offers. He clearly is a great student.

According to 24/7 our 2025 class is ranked 5th best in G5 behind USF, UNLV, Toledo and East Carolina. Ranked #73 overall.

That rating is not bad. But we have two or three commits who have not been listed on 247 or have not yet been rated. And I trust Coach Martin’s evaluations and developments of players. Last year, we signed William Goodvine III. He was listed on 247 as a 2 star .79. However, the Indiana coaches vote on the top player at each position and he was voted the top D lineman of year. That, and we have had great success with walk-ons.
Yes, it looks like Toledo has commits from several higher rated players. But their loss of the QB and RB is a killer. And our commits greatly outnumber theirs. Anyway, I, for one, will be there to watch our second straight win vs UT in October. And maybe two wins in '24 if they make the MACC. I know we will!

@preaves_15 Any idea what they’re doing on the home sideline? I’m seeing it all barricaded off in the background of these recruiting pictures.

More of a general note, but I wonder how differently recruits now view their commitment out of high school versus pre-portal. Are players with power conference offers more likely to end up at good G5 programs because they figure they’ll get more immediate playing time and can transfer right after a breakout season? Hard to tell for us with our fortunes improving so much this past year.

More interior DL help on the way. Noonan had offers from most of the MAC, as well as Ivy League and service academies.

Well, I’d rather get them on campus and into the program and see where things go from there than not have them arrive in the first place. Winning can only help when it comes to getting them to commit and, hopefully, having at least some stay past good individual seasons.

Another big time DL commit. Carmine had offers from the rest of the MAC, as well as Louisville, UC, Oklahoma State, and Boston College.
