Why was that because he was one of the few players with speed on the team and we want to win every game 17-14?
What a terrible job we did in the portal last year with almost nothing to show for it a year later
He did more harm than good in the locker room. Sad because he was an incredible talent and was going to be our WR1 without question before his injury.

2 years ago our wide receiver room was Virgil, Tracy, McDonald, Perry, Weaver and Isom. Now it is Isom and a bunch of walk ons

Related note, during Texas Tech bowl game announcer mentioned Virgil was TTU’s fastest guy.

Reynolds is in some ways more disappointing to me than Weaver because I suspected the bowl game was an audition for him at rb or at least a hybrid position ala Kevin Davis/Mo Thomas. That said, we are totally bereft at the skill positions right now which, if nothing else, eliminates any advantages that come with continuity.
Noted - thanks- we are in deep trouble in the portal- the FB program overall is in serious trouble - we lose our in name OC shortly before the Bowl game without an explanation- we lose Beasley, Reynolds, Trick, Perry, etc. We lose our last two games with no offense and terrible play calling. We lose a number of our 2026 recruits who decommit including two going to Toledo. Our ability in the future to beat poor to average MAC schools is certainly in question. CM needs to do a complete reversal on his involvement in game day strategy - his stubborn and selfish approach to game day planning is about to cost our FB program for years to come

Just wait until we see who we get in the portal before making a decision if the team is ruined. We very well could upgrade some positions with the right moves
