This will not get old. If this was on the old board, I could see it becoming a word/phrase replacer.
I will use this in my next email on HIPPA. The first sentence of your post.
Lane Kiffin contract terms:
7 years, $91M. $13M per year, which is tied for highest in CFB.
If he wins a title, LSU has to make him the highest-paid HC
His buyout is 80% of remaining money, even if he gets a new job
LSU will also honor his postseason incentives at OIe Miss
So, if Ole Miss wins a title this year, Lane gets $1M.
PLUS-25-30 million a year in roster building money. Brian Kelly spent 18. Cheap ass!
On the Old MAC message board, a poster reported that one sports news site said that it’s due to NCAA infractions, and that it’s rumored to be resulting in OU vacating all their wins this year. So maybe our record just improved to 8-4. ![]()
That would seem to tie us with WMU in MAC play and also give us the #1 seed because of the head to head win?
This was a joke tweet from a WVU fan (who OU beat this year), not a journalist or news site.
Gotcha. Untill some clarity comes out of this, the rumors will continue and likely accelerate.
Who knows who knows anything but if you trust barstool college football podcasters

Per Football Scoop a lot of names emerging for the opening at Tulane, including former Kent HC Sean Lewis. But what I found most interesting in the article is Tulane has a minimum of 5 million to build a roster for the next HC. They are a mid major, or G5 program.
Toledo is rumored to be the highest spender amongst MAC programs. Has anyone read any reliable information as to what that figure may be?
My thought was did the AD kill the coach? Because that’s sorta how this reads given he’s not been seen in a couple days and the AD was the last who saw him.
A lot people do disappear in SE Ohio…. just saying.
Right?
A friend of mine graduated from Tulane. She said there’s a lot of money associated with the school, they’re just very quiet about it all.
The attorney I practice law with has a son and daughter who both graduated from Tulane in the last 2 years.
My favorite line in the story is “we will fight any wrongdoing brought against him” while also saying they don’t know why he was removed from his position. Whatever it is we will fight it to the death! ![]()
Couple things:
-
I wrote to see if you made it back to Oxford ok but crickets from you as a response. I’m glad you did, but this will be noted in your year end review.

As a lawyer, give us your best guess what’s going on. I don’t think it’s mental health. I wondered if it was something tawdry like what the Arkansas coach got into. Feels more like that, no?
In other news, the sun, in fact, does rise in the east
Tulane is RICH. Like “has enough money available to compete in the ACC probably” rich.
