Seems like an opportune time for some last minute HS recruit poaching, if they have anyone we could use!
Winter early signing day for football is this Wednesday. I canāt imagine what could lead to putting out a statement like this and possibly spooking your recruiting class beyond something scandalous.
Hence my poaching suggestion! Hey I am an opportunist! Seize the day! OU has a couple OL and a couple DL verbals we previously offered. To offset some of our guys who flipped elsewhere. Might be worth exploring if any of them are interested in a stable coaching situation with a team heading to its 3rd straight MACC game!

There was a time when I would have revelled in this (and I still wonder if 8-4 qualifies you for the roofie defense), but this mostly just bad news for the school we love to hate and indirectly for the MAC as a whole. I guess itās a good thing that the stupid tiebreaker put us in Detroit rather than them, since that would have intensified national coverage of whatever this turns out to be.
On the surface Iām guessing this is health-related and theyāre not sharing details due to HIPPA, but seems fishy stillā¦
Nm on HIPPA so who the hell knows whatās going on.
Maybe he thought the lei was real and tried to eat it?

Its much more likely to be substance abuse related than illness related (although addiction can certainly fall into that umbrella). There is no way OU phrases it all this way (or lack of phrasing in this case) if its a traditional health issue.
Not days before signing day and transfer portal opens in a couple weeks. There is just no way you do this approach. There have been several examples of coaches having significant health challenges, and I canāt think of a single one handled like this.
We can all read between lines. If it was a health issue, personal or family, or something like that, this is not how it would be handled. This reads to me (and I have no inside info) like someone is being sent to rehab (and may or may not have a job when he comes back). That or something inappropriate happened and an investigation has to take place. Or both.

ESPN updated. Iām right. I didnāt want to be but itās now clear I was correct. Bummer. I donāt like OU but they did us dirty in the title game so I knews them was tricksters. The roosters are home to roost. Or was that the turkeys? Or chickens? Or was it foghorn leghorn. I still donāt really know what he did. Or care. But this came from the school.
