It’s quaint to think that powerful people in America are still capable of shame.
I realize the NCAA is dead, but it seems like even in this NIL-driven/CFP world, they could tamp down the coaching carousel if they wanted to. For example, any team that fires its coach midseason would be automatically ineligible for postseason games regardless of record — and any team hiring a coach before his current team’s season is fully complete forfeits its bowl eligibility for the following season. And, as noted above, moving signing day back even a couple of weeks would help.

Pat Fitzgerald? Good lord. He’s not a brilliant strategist. He’s not a brilliant play caller. His whole thing was building a capital-P Program based on Northwestern’s capital-C Culture.
And then it turned out the Culture was rampant sexual abuse of freshmen by upperclassmen.

The system isn’t blameless, but c’mon Kiffin is being a complete tool. No one is judging Jon Sumrall that much for leaving Tulane even though he’s in the CFP hunt, but Kiffin (1) publicly mocked everyone who accused him of being disloyal when it was known he was probably leaving, (2) demanded he be allowed to coach in the CFP when it’s a conflict of interest, (3) reportedly demanded all coaches immediately join him for LSU, and (4) is leaving to coach one of his school’s biggest rivals after a career of weird job transitions.

He’s an overrated coach that’s using a corrupt system to his advantage…there is no integrity in major college football, only advantage
They have Toledo and EMU next year. Their MAC spots are taken
