Wilmer had 36 points last year in 38 games. Would be a huge get if we can land him.

Tri-City Storm just lost their first playoff game in OT 6-5. If they lose again tomorrow we might see Noreen full time in Oxford sooner than we thought

Storm just scored the OT winner but it’s being reviewed for a high stick

Update: Good goal! Game 3 incoming tomorrow. That GWG gave the Storm their first lead of the series, they’d been playing a lot of catch-up.

If they win tomorrow they move on to the next round against a very scary Fargo Force team that’s coming off a bye (with TC only getting one day of rest after playing 5 games in 6 days). The Noreen era lives to see another day

Yeah, five games in six days with this being the third in three, and the two playoff games have both gone into overtime.

That’s rough.

At least last Friday and Saturday’s games didn’t matter in the standings for them so Noreen was able to rest some of his starters.

And after all the results from last night it looks like the teams that are going to game 3 will start the next series on Saturday and the team that’s off tonight will go Friday so they’ll all get 2 days between series.

Storm are up 8-3 late in the third. Barring an insane comeback they will advance to the next round and Noreen will have more time with his team in Nebraska.

The series against Fargo will be interesting; Noreen and future hawk McEwen versus future hawk Michael Quinn and former future hawk brasen boser.

8-3 final as Noreen d. Rud in the best-of-3. Off to Fargo.

I was so excited when it looked like Miami was getting the top two D-men on the best team in the league. Quinn has a chance to be really good in Oxford.

I have actually been to a Nailers game before in Wheeling. Not exactly a mecca but it’s a start!

Well now they’re thinking about it. TC could have had to play another 3 games back to back next week after 2 games sat/mon. Noreen said on the Doug&Daddy show this week that his voice was already shot from coaching so many games in such a short amount of time. Must be real tough for the kids. I wonder if Noreen had something to say to the league about the schedule

Great article in the Miami Student today; love the player quotes from Sullivan and Waldron. It’s great to know they are excited about their new coach

Yeah, the schedule is insane. This should be the best hockey of the season for that league and you have kids playing five games in six days and then another best-of-5 over (originally) a seven-day window. Not good for the quality of play, player safety or keeping up with classes.
