Where is ESPN‘s referee expert to explain this? He already said it’s targeting. And they have not gone back to him to explain why it’s not targeting.
Holy crap!!
Ball don’t lie.
Of course. But the the non-call also probably cost ASU a chance to win it (or at least be in position to try to take the lead) before OT.
And because ESPN never thinks that college football games can run beyond 4 hours, the Rose Bowl is starting on ESPN2.
Now you know what it feels like to be in the MAC, Oregon & OSU.
Helluva finish.
Agreed. But whoever called an all-out blitz for the ASU defense on 4th and 13 should have their head reexamined because that did them in.
Damn what really happened at the Shoe on November 30?
Ryan Day wasn’t coaching for his job….
Turns out that calling a bunch of inside runs against one of the best interior defenses (despite having the best receiver room in the country) was a bad strategy.
Yeah and that’s not second-guessing. As soon as the showed the full blitz, I said, “What are you doing?” I get not dropping eight and being overly conservative but send one or two extra guys, don’t have most of the defense blitz on 4th & 13.
First. I would absolutely bring charred Duck to a tailgate.
Second Ohio State 24- Ducks 0.
Third: Precisely why you don’t want to give a team another crack at you after you’ve beaten them in the regular season.
Am I not right, MHT?
Oregon doesn’t belong.
Day was trying to prove toughness by winning by running the ball down Michigan’s throat. Who cares how you win? Throw the ball to your numerous WRs who will be first round picks.
First and foremost….Fu&k Ohio State……Secondly, Oregon is a Big10+? Team as much as Texas is a SEC team…
Warm up the bus!
Here’s the first Rose Bowl game I remember watching on TV. I’m hoping we see something like this today.
My dad had taken me to the Ohio State game with Wisconsin on October 27, 1962 - two years before we moved to Centerville. I was 13 and it was my very first college football gsme. We saw the Buckeyes upset the undefeated Badgers 14-7 so I was familiar with Ron Vanderkelen and Pat Richter.
The fourth quarter of this game was legendary!
4th & 8, up 31, might as well just go for it instead of kicking the FG
The PAC 12 comeback begins!
So, now it’s 34-8 instead of 38-8…
