2022 Season

Westwood would be great. Provided we all didn’t end up at The Sunset Strip on some kind of excursion. I for one do not want to go to the Sunset Strip. I end up feeling all that emptiness. Old marquis with stupid band names. No. I don’t want to go to the sunset strip.

But Westwood would be fine.

Dude man, you win. Although i’m sad to report there’s no sweepstakes van or giant check. Truth is, as soon as you’re born you start dying. So you might as well have a good time.

Hmph. Checking my calendar, I seriously doubt I can go if we get sent to Westwood. Oh well.

  1. (3) Virginia Tech
  2. Kentucky
  3. Miami
  4. St Francis

A rematch with the Wildcats.

Will be tough, but we’ve already shown we can beat UK.

And with the Hokies.

If we show up and play, we could win this bracket.

No truer words have ever been spoken. Because we for sure won’t win if we don’t show up or don’t play.

Hokies embarrassed us 8-0 when we played them. Probably worst game we played all year.

Dr. Phil, I think most times we get in a bracket we have no chance. Seeding is always anti MAC. This time, we do. Va Tech is no joke as they beat us 8-0 but it was early enough this year I’m gonna give the team a mulligan. And, new pitchers. At least for us. Also, may I call you doctor?

I know you are. But can I call you doctor? No pressure if no.

Have to beat Kentucky and start in the winners bracket to have any chance. VT wants to host the Super Regional badly. This is almost as tough a bracket as we could have possibly drawn.

I think they all look tough. Seems to me the only advantage we have (and certainly this works both ways) is that we’ve played KY and Tech so we have some knowledge? May not matter all that much. Either way, fun to watch a Miami team go to the post season.

It’s game day. Let’s gooo!

Edit: Nope. It’s tomorrow.

Kumar was also an assistant at VT for the 2019 and 2020 seasons, so she’s presumably very familiar with their upperclassmen.

Indeed. I also read one of the players transferred here from there Kate Kobiashi. What a gift she’s been. Just a great talent.

Her dad is a Miami grad.
