With any luck or skill at all the 2022 team will create their own “good ole days” with lots more to follow! Just like those 70’s teams all us ole farts talk about.

Let’s start a new Golden Era.

Opened ‘22 season 2-0.

Looks like our home opener against Indiana on Tuesday is going to get washed out. Warm enough but 100% chance of rain with an inch expected.

Now they are saying up to 2 inches of rain in Oxford tomorrow with temps plunging into the 20s and low 30s for the weekend series with Rider and extending into next week. That’s likely to take out our next four of five scheduled games. RedHawks really ought to head to the Russ Matt tournament in February and early March.

Lost Sunday’s game 13 - 8.

Tuesday’s game vs. IU officially cancelled:

Rider series scheduling update:

Playing (2) on Saturday 2/26/22: 7 Inning Game at Noon and a 9 Inning Game at 3:00 PM

9 Inning Game Sunday 2/27/22 at 1:00 PM

Games can be followed via Live Stats

There is no wintry mix in baseball.

200th career win for Coach Hayden.

FWIW (basically nothing this early in the season) we are 13th nationally in RPI.

Lost the third game to Rider 9-5 and lost yesterday to Indiana 15-2.

Off to Statesboro this weekend with a 3-game series against Georgia Southern.

I hope to get up there to see either the Saturday or Sunday game.

That’s a nice little stadium.

Dropped a heartbreaker today 9-8 in 10 innings. Fun game to watch even with the loss.

The worst baseball game is better than the best day at work

Just looking at the Miami schedule, I’m liking that they’re going back to the Friday games at 3pm and not 6pm. 3pm on Fridays, and in the middle of the week 3pm games, were always a blast! Students getting out of class and heading over to the stadium to sit in the sun and enjoy the afternoons. Faculty and staff sneaking out early to catch a few innings before needing to get home.

Good times!

Props to Miami for going back to this. It’s nice having the lights but Miami baseball seemed to work best when played in the sunshine

The bad news just keeps coming. Georgia Southern comes from a run down in the 9th and wins it with a two out walk off single 10-9. Eagles sweep the RedHawks in three one-run games.
