Miami game notes are up. Of note, WMU seems to have a good defense, only allowing 282 yards per game. We are at 328 yards given up per game. WMU offense is largely their QB Lowery, leads the team in both passing and rushing. So actually again similar to Miami where DQ leads in both. WMU offense is 318 yards per game. Miami is 360 yards per game. By stats alone this teams seem pretty evenly matched and both are 3-0 in MAC play.
I feel like these teams are evenly matched and so does Vegas since the line is 2.5
Very similar non conference too
This is Miami’s first legit MAC test…..hoping for a win…..
I tend to think WMU is “over-hyped” at the moment. Look at their wins, the lowest of the low…maybe Ball State is better than we think, but WMU certainly has not beat anybody worthwhile.
I like Miami by 10 in this at home.
And our “worthwhile” win is…?
Toledo?
I don’t think the MAC really has anybody to beat this year. There’s 5-6 teams that are all good enough to beat anyone else in the MAC, including each other, but I don’t see a real juggernaut like there have been in past years.
The two teams that win the most of these close games will end up in Detroit. Miami is going to have a slugfest pretty much every game from here on out and honestly I could see us winning or losing each one.
Their defense is great but might be slightly inflated by allowing only 82 total yards against ball state
I thought Toledo might have a shot at beating Washington State in Pullman when the season began. I’m not as confident given the Cougars last two highly competitive games at Ole Miss and UVA. The impact of cross country travel on both teams will probably be a huge consideration in determining who wins on the Palouse. The Rockets have not been impressive so far.
My 4 season tickets on the 45 yard line are available - let me know if you need tickets for this weekend
Agree - WSU barely beat ehh teams and barely lost to top ranked teams and were blown out by some ok teams…
It’s time for Miami to open up a 55 gallon drum of whoop-A$$
Well to sum it up, I know they are very down this year, but technically our defense only gave up 10 points at Wisconsin, Rutgers was still winnable late in the game, UNLV was ours to win on a game winning drive if we didn’t fumble. All I am saying is, I think Miami is the more talented team and should take care of business this week against the “Ponies”..
Toledo has been very dissapointing this year. They lost to BGSU who just got smacked around by CMU. I don’t think Toledo is a marker of Western’s talent.
Or if the D managed to get a stop on any one of 9 consecutive 3rd down plays.
The question I have is, will Blues make the trek once more to Oxford?
No, Blues will be STL bound due to a medical procedure on Friday. This past weekend was quite enjoyable though!
