Why just Koehler?
I actually dread Saturday football now…today it was so bad that I could not bear to even follow the second half except for periodic check ins here on hawk talk…I guess I was trying to spare myself the agony of the terrible play by play results and pray that somehow we would get a pick six or a blocked punt that would save the day. Sadly, not to be.
Is Koehler related to John Klacik?
At least I’ve got Washington Huskies football to look forward to as my nightcap. 4-2 beats 3-5 any day…
Iowa’s offense only scored 3 though
They’re not blood related, but they are related in the sense that both of them were wildly unqualified, only got the job because of their connection to the head coach, and have spewed shit all over the field since getting hired.
I think I’ll spend the rest of the season watching whatever games are fun. Not whatever it is we’re doing.
Think we are poorly coach…is no longer in question…what an embarrasment.
The Miami OL, which I thought would be the strength of this team, was pretty terrible.
Good point - but it was against a top three team on the road.
I think we win one more (Akron) and finish 4-8.
Too bad we don’t have press coverage that would actually ask Chuck about terrible, predictable, play calling…not to mention our overall ineptitude on offense.
I was pretty checked out after the BG loss but all that talk (by certain Hawktalk posters) of Chuck’s mystique of winning all home games gave me solace we could somehow find a way to finish 6-6 and slink into a bowl game…that dream sequence ran into reality today at Yager.
I think Akron’s going to roll us.
Miami losing to Western @ home is pathetic
And honestly - the athletic department does nothing to try to stir excitement. Follow ANY other program, and there are updates about player injuries, etc. Does Miami think that just maybe communicating that Brett Gabbert was returning JUST MAYBE would have impacted fan motivation to attend? Just curious.
The coaching staff was obviously trying to camouflage their game plan. They wanted WMU to prepare this week for Aveon.
And it worked. Brett looked as pedestrian as Aveon. Neither student athlete is to blame.
I’m disappointed, of course in the way things have gone through much of this season…but I can’t help wondering what a board where our football coaches and players could visit your places of employment and rag on you for the way you do your jobs would look like. That would be entertaining! If the shoe was on the other foot, I don’t expect many of you would react very well.
By thevway, in case you haven’t noticed there is a lot going on in this world that renders what happens in a football game pretty unimportant. Lighten up! Oh… and show some class by cleaning up the language.
Brett made a valiant attempt to bring us back in the fourth quarter with the hurry up and his legs. Too little, to late.
