It is 39 - 21 at the half. The first quarter seemed like a replay of the last 7 minutes of yesterday’s game where we had an 8 point lead with 7 minutes to go and then got out scored 19- 2. After 7 minutes it was 12-0 WVU. 19-5 at the end of one, and we had no field goals.
Scott has 8 and Wolf 7 at the half. Maddie Cluse has not scored.
48 - 35 halfway through the second half.Wolf with 15 and Scott with 11 points and 8 rebounds, Cluse still scoreless.
57 - 44 at the end of 3. We had it down to 9 at one point. Wolf with 17, Scott13, but Cluse with zero. Morrow has 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Freeman with 4 fouls.
After we cut it to 9 in the third quarter WMU evidently went back to a press. We got outscored 25 to 7 in the 4th quarter and had 8 more turnovers. Final was 82 to 51. Girls do not play again for a week and a half and that is against Tiffin, our only scheduled win. Then comes MAC play.
This team needs a coaching change.
I think it is clear to our opponents that if you want to beat Miami simply press them. We still haven’t figure out how to beat a press… that’s rather depressing.
