The RedHawks are 21-0. Millett Hall was as loud as it has ever been on Tuesday night (except for the lighting, poor sound quality, shitty sight lines, and horrendously managed concessions - I couldn’t believe it was the same arena I attended games in as a student).
The success we are experiencing isn’t an accident. Being 21-0, the opportunity to get away from my bullying by donating $200 is over. The new price is $210. Here is the link where your $210 can be submitted.
I’ll be donating the same today, and I’ll be firing in $220 after we take a belt to NIU’s ass on Saturday. If you have the means, this kind of progressive giving will show what the current winning streak means to Miami fans. But there is no excuse (save for legitimate poverty) for not making at least one donation in respect of our current record, even if you’re already a supporter of the program.
Stop being cheap, log in, and fire off your $210 today.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY GIVEN MONEY TO THE BASKETBALL PROGRAM IN THE LAST WEEK AND WANT TO SUPPORT IN ANOTHER FASHION…
I sat in a car with our beloved, benevolent leader @JiveHawk on Tuesday as he navigated the snowy, dimly-lit roads between Columbus and Oxford while simultaneously buying more sever space for MHT because the interest in our basketball team literally caused the board to crash an hour before our nationally televised tip off. Jive has never asked for a penny to keep MHT operational, nor does he want to – so I must do so on his behalf.
The costs of the board are not astronomical (assuming Jive is honest with me about it), but our teams’ successes have a direct correlation in terms of increased cost. That is to say nothing of the legitimate sweat equity Jive puts in (that, frankly, previous stewards of MHT stopped putting in years before ceding control of the board). Lord only knows the server space he’ll need to buy and the work he’ll need to put in to keep us operational if we’re still undefeated in March.
I’ve created a BuyMeACoffee page for those who wish to donate to the expense of keeping MHT functional. Any money given will be passed on to Jive. A donation of literally any size will meaningfully reduce the financial burden Jive has otherwise taken on by himself.
