So how much inflation are we going to see from the recruiting sites? Now that $$$ is very much tied to the ratings, I can only imagine the pressure being put on the recruiting graders to bump guys to the next “star” level.
Pressure? What about cash? In this environment, it would be economically rational for a player (or his handlers) to pay one of these sites for a star upgrade. And I’ve never viewed them as reputable enough not to take the money.
Yep, agents/handlers will certainly be doing that too, as well as vice versa where recruiting experts will ask for kickbacks.
College sports have gone to shit.
$350 for a unproven punkster hoping/praying he’ll be good. What do we have on our roster now, 3 or 4 four star rejects? There’s a quick million gone to waste for the big boys.
And here we are checking in every day to catch up on the latest on our beloved Redhawks, the MAC and the rest of college sports. (Chuckling as l peck the phone while I wait for my order.)
