My experience informs me that it’s a little demoralizing to the team to see a smallish crowd during the first half of play suddenly become a huge crowd during the final five minutes. Yes, women’s hoops is not as attractive to many as the men, but really fans should want to come and experience BOTH games, not just walk in during the end of “the opening act.”

For decades I have shown up 30-40 minutes before tipoff, settled into my midcourt seat on the East Side, six rows behind Bake and Carol Smith, watched the warmups and talked Miami sports with @DICK. Now you’re encouraging others to be there early, disrupting my entire day.
Just kidding. I’ve been trying forever to get people to women’s games. It’s an uphill battle; they want to compare it to the men’s product, instead of enjoying the game as standing on its own. These young women are wearing Miami uniforms, they play a fast paced exciting style, and they win. Coach Box and his staff have the program trending upward. Come for the tipoff and help them win. If you like you can even stay for the second game.
Don’t forget the women play a huge game Saturday at Ball State. Both teams with identical records. On ESPN+, tipoff at 11am
