I saw that he declared for the NFL Draft. Just wanted to give him a shout out-totally loved watching him play. What do you all think about his NFL prospects?

Good for him. But why does he need to declare for the draft? He’s out of eligibility.

My son says it is a new tradition to say nice things about the school and make sure all the nfl types know

Mr. Ugwu was a tremendous addition to the program! I hope that he got everything out of his Miami experience he could desire.
He will certainly be in someone’s camp this fall as UDFA and then it comes down to fit and good luck. Whatever happens his tenure in Oxford will be remembered very fondly by this Miami fan!

Ugwu probably could’ve transferred to another school after last season and secured a nice NIL deal with playing time, but he didn’t. He stayed and balled out, respect. Hope he makes it in the league.

NFL loves great pass rushers. I predict he will hang around for awhile, much like Dom Robinson.

I figured Ugwu’s numbers (sacks, tfl) were going to suffer in 2024 from the loss of Woullard, as Ugwu was going to see more double-teams, but they were very similar to 2023. He had a great couple of seasons, and I believe he has a very good chance to stick in the NFL.

I agree Dick. He may be shorter than Dom but I think he’s got more pass rushing skills. Just more experience
