New conference coming when the money of the NLI arms race becomes stupidly unsustainable. We are pretty much there. When it comes, the college sports machine will be blinking “TILT” over and over and we unplug and start again.

Many college Presidents may have no choice but to follow the Ivy model for football if costs continue to spiral out of control and the lights flash TILT for most G5 conferences. If student disinterest continues to accelerate, the stadiums won’t look much different than Brown at Dartmouth on game days.,
