The NBA announced its full list of draft entrees yesterday: 71 players (65 NCAA, 6 international).
➤ Last year, there were 106 entrees. In 2021, the number peaked at 363(!). 71 is the lowest number since 2003.

The result: More talent in college. Less draft prep. Less draft buzz?

So what, 71 kids and 60 draft picks? International number seems very low
Internationals now just go to college and secure NIL deals that exceed their club value contracts. This is as if not more lucrative than being a 2nd round pick. And way more lucrative than being a draft and stash prospect.
Seniors out of NCAA eligibility aren’t counted here, just underclassmen.
Which is also why the 2021 number is so high. Everyone got an extra year of eligibility and left “early”
