The poster looks like something that might hang in a 10-year-old’s bedroom or a college kid’s dorm.
For starters, this poster is $30 and looks like something that could’ve been designed in PhotoShop 15 years ago. It is simply a collection of logos and stock images of players.
"No Diana Taurasi despite the fact that she played 20 of those 30 years.
Sophie Cunningham instead of Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston or Tamika Catchings.
The WNBA can’t seem to get out of its own way. They have a generational talent that has brought more interest to the league then no one else has and they are just hell bent on ruining it seems.
“Say, if Clark, Bird or Taurasi didn’t have a deal with Fanatics to use their likeness for products like this WNBA 30th anniversary poster, the company couldn’t legally have used it. In that case, the WNBA would have probably been better served to use another vendor so these legendary players would be featured on an official 30th poster.”
I’m gonna dip my toes in this. An entire league’s teams decided they would do pretty much everything to stop her her entire first season. Did Paige get that? Nope. Oliva Miles right now? Nope. Do others get fouled regularly? Absolutely, but CC gets conservatively I’d say at least 3-5 non-called fouls on her every game. I’ve seen games whre she doesn’t even make it to the free throw line. Given she’s the primary offensive handler that seems curious too. Let’s move on to the Fever where I believe that’s more of an issue. I have watched every game of theirs this year/ Let’s just say there are multiple calls every game that are head scratchers. Take the last PHX game. Kelsey Mitchell had NEVER fouled out in 300 games. And yet she gets 6 fouls? That doesn’t seem like a head scratcher? And I totally get it. She’s not everyone’s cup of tea. But on the flip side, not every one that likes her or says “take a look at what’s she’s going though” is a Klansman or Trumper.
Now for the finishing statement. I think we can all agree that Alyssa Thomas is a thug and plays bully ball.
