The Miami at Denver, time to snap this losing streak thread (with a TV option!)

I was right

Miami power plays are hard to watch

The power play is so bad.

Looks like they’ve even changed up the PP personnel- all season it’s been Hutchison or Quinn qbing but that one was Cox

What’s the score?

2-1 DU

We’re definitely playing well especially this period

3-1 Buium and Devine are too good

That was the least bad power play we’ve had

Welp Miami loses tomorrow is the last day to try to prevent a 1 year NCHC winless streak

Well to be honest I thought tonight would go much worse :joy:

Same! It was not nearly as bad as I thought it might be, and outside of the major, we actually played fairly well. Bruno made some huge saves to keep us in it. And we didn’t have the huge third period meltdown that’s been a pattern this season.

We didn’t look like a team coming off a 5 week break either. We didn’t have a “knock the rust off” first five minutes allowing 3 goals or whatever and as the game went on we weren’t looking worse and worse like we were tired even with the elevation- some of our best play was in the first half of the third period.

Only one 5 on 5 goal, not too bad. Special teams need some work though. Noreen spoke strongly about his opinion of that 5 minute major in the post game and without that penalty it’s 1-1 in the third.

We also lost Feenstra and Morrison to injuries and despite that adversity kept battling. And obviously great night from Bruno

Let’s go get ‘em tomorrow!

It would also be nice to see us win more faceoffs, although some people on this site wouldn’t agree😂 22 wins to 42 losses is dismal

Yeah faceoffs were horrible, there was a point in the third period I had to pull up the stats page because I thought there was a chance we were at 0 faceoff wins

Faceoff win= puck posession=offense.
