Not sure where to post this so it’s going here. Last year there was some…ahem…“discussion”…on whether face offs have a determining effect on the outcome of the game. Over on r/collegehockey a Michigan State stats guy posted an analysis of face offs vs. goals scored in 5 and 10 second increments. Suffice it to say we give up more goals directly off of faceoffs than we score. And in our case I agree it doesn’t impact the outcome
This season is lost. At this point, it’s clearly time to just goon up and goon up hard. Suspensions be damned. Leave some god damned chiclets on the ice every single ph!cking night. Let the NCHC know that Miami didn’t come to play; they came to fight. We might not be respected, but we god damn well will be feared.
It was also on ESPN+. Thought BC was going to run away with it after the first but BU owned the last two periods. Nice in-game adjustments by BU. We’re not used to seeing that.
