LaxDaddy - you failed to read my post - I refer to McCall twice by name. With respect to Jones under center obviously you do not do that unless it has been a practice prep play. You miss the point of my post - at least one if not two plays should have started under center. A QB under center push play is an option in this situation . Such a play obviously worked for UC.

Our quarterback is David McComb. It is not McCall.
As to the center push play, I was at the game and very close to the line of scrimmage. The ball was closer to the 2 than the 1. That play might have been justified inside the 1. At the 2, the odds get a lot dicier especially with players who do not have a lot of reps.
The push that was missing from our O-line. We should have been able to score with any running play.
