The odds of getting any home/road game better than Wright State are slim, the NET makes those matchups against good mid majors undesirable. The numbers make sense for neutral site, I’d expect the MTE opponents to be better.
This is better than the schedule we had this past year.
Depending on the quality of the MTE, it could even be a good schedule. Obviously missing a power buy game, but High Point, Wright, and what should be two top 4 (and really maybe even top 2) SBC teams is a good, solid mid-major schedule.

Also, if we do have a good buy game in the works and need space, some of that cash could probably go to Ashville or EKU to push those games back a year or two.
12/22 is Wright State. Classes end on 12/11.

Playing Bellarmine 11/07, and playing Wright State when the campus is empty. You’re good with this?
A lot of recent alums back in SW Ohio though. I, for one, can make this game travelling back to Cincy for Christmas.
If there is a solution to scheduling during J-term I haven’t figured it out.
And there is a thanksgiving break and exam week in that period too. It is hard to find good dates for Miami home games and the students until after J term
J-term, a money heist, just like The Man, needs to go away.

I hate J term for sports but it does provide an opportunity for study abroad for the students
Was Wright State even available on 11/7? I don’t know. It doesn’t matter. Schedule games, play them, and win. It’s not like Miami hasn’t won in front of sparse crowds in the past. Heck, a sparse crowd was the norm for 2 decades. Akron — the most important win of the regular season by NET standards — was a game during J-term when students were gone. There are going to be games (including potentially crucial conference games) played during winter break/J-term, that’s not a surprise. It happens every year.

Move it to the end of the school year and make it May-term.

We are already late getting out (although that could get moved up i guess) and that would impact internships
The trade off of lengthening the school year thereby reducing summer opportunities to travel, earn money or summer internships has negated the value of J-Term for my two kids.
