Signed yesterday by Gov. Parson, the State is saying this is the first of its kind law in the US. (I have not verified this). Under the newly signed law, coaches are no longer prohibited from attending meetings between college athletes and a third-party NIL entity where compensation is discussed. HB 417 says school officials will be able to “identify, create, facilitate, negotiate, support, enable or otherwise assist” with NIL opportunities for athletes. I guess Missouri is going to do whatever it can to help Mizzou compete in the SEC!

The more government gets involved with NIL, the quicker the entire system will collapse.

The more the IRS gets involved in looking at these non-profit booster collectives, the quicker the entire system will collapse.
