Is there any chance Miami Alums Martinez and or Smith who were on the Stanley Cup winning NHL Las Vegas Golden Knights will get the cup to Oxford?

That would be awesome but I really doubt it. They only get one day with the Cup each and their families live in Detroit suburbia and the GTA.
John Walton had a ton more ties to Cincinnati/Oxford, while Alec and Reilly’s only area tie was three years of playing for Miami.

Maybe each will have a Golden Kinghts Jersey to hang in the lobby at the Goggin…….

Bonk, if I’m hearing you right (and I’m certain I am) what you’re really saying is “the sun has gone down, the moon has come up, and long ago somebody left with the cup.”
Oh well, maybe next year.
I’m not sure what Alec’s relationship is with Miami but being his third time with the cup I would hope that he’d be at least open to the idea of bringing it to campus. I would guess someone from Miami would have had to reach out to him to make that pitch though.
