I find that fascinating. It makes sense given how big NBA hoops have become although to be fair, it could be familial. And you’ve seen the same thing happen over the years with kids being named after luxury brands. I met a little girl a little while back named Mercedes. But, it’s never across the board. What I mean is, when I was a young rascal, McDonalds (the Scottish Fusion restaurant) used to spend ungodly amounts on money on tv ads with their characters in them. And even more on merch and experiences on location like playgrounds and birthday rooms with a magic tree where a guy sitting inside with bad breath would sing happy birthday. So, why aren’t any kids of my generation named Hamburglar. Or Grimace?

Sure looks like Fab Five 2.0.
