Unless they plan on setting up temporary stands in the infield that would be one hard game to watch in person.

As long as it’s considered a Braves home game, then I don’t care. Just don’t give up a home field advantage for a gimmick game.

I saw speculation about July 31 which make it a Reds home game. Our 4 game series at Atlanta is in early May which would give them only about 6 weeks to setup.

There should be a 7th inning stretch where the Big Red Machine races The General Lee on a quarter mile straight. I would tune in for that. Even if The Big Red machine was a used Ford Taurus. Which if we’re honest, these days it basically is.

Overall, it’s just a stupid idea. There’s too many things that could go wrong as far as an injury with guys stepping in a hole or worse

Stepping in a hole? Not sure what you’re imagining the field would be like but it’s not like they are going to be playing on a sandlot field. For the football game they built a 3.5 ft subbase that they installed the field on.
