No one but Tamar is handling Coastal’s pressure well. Probably why she has only been off the court 1 minute.
Why do they keep showing a bunch of “Visit Pensacola” ads every break? Who the hell lives in Myrtle Beach and decides to visit Pensacola for something different?
Going to be switching to the mens game. Tamar has done an excellent job defending Coastal’s best player Williams. Miami up 35-22 with less than a minute in the half. Miami D forcing 12 turnovers in the 2nd quarter.
Also switching. Looking much better. Correct people handling the ball. Good job coaches.
35-22 at the half-Miami!
Coastal goes on a run to end the 3rd. 50-39 Miami going into the 4th. Need to settle down.
Tessa Grady, from Ohio, is a nice player for CC. Transferred to them from Wisconsin.
Grady hits her 3rd three and the game is 53-49 with 4:39 to go. Miami up and takes the TO. Miami doing their best to lose this game. Need to calm down and hit a shot. Both teams in the bonus rest of the way
Singer nails the 3!
Jurjo with the 3 off assist from Singer. Miami up 10!
Miami wins! 63-53! Singer with 16, Scalia 15, Jurjo 11, Tretter with 11 boards!
Yea us!
Nuria Jurjo the unsung hero. She not only had 11 points but against a withering press she took some of the ball handling pressure off of Tamar.
True. But CC doing everything they could 4th quarter to prevent Tamar from touching the ball. Scalia had a nice scoring game. Tamar couldn’t have been off the court by more than 2 minutes. Got injured at the end but stayed in. Looks like she hurt her leg.
Glen Box is an elite coach. I bet he gets us to the promised land this year. He’s like Steele. Just dialed in. Damn it’s fun again.
Tamar Singer filled the stat sheet! https://x.com/miamioh_wbb/status/1985529459190157359?s=46&t=F-WLIxbyYlhHo-puMzmVzw
At the end of the third, when CCU had cut our 21 point lead to 10, Coach Box sat the team down and started with a very calm ”Ok. It looks like we’ve lost our focus, Right?” He went on to make his adjustments and sent them back out for the fourth quarter. No panic. No screaming. Just coaching.
