Nice writeup from SI. I didn’t know that Calhoun was our runner-up, conventional wisdom pointed many to Pedon (who in fairness is doing very well at Illinois State) but I recall Sayler mentioning during the process that we were interested in coaches with experience.

I’ve been waiting for someone to at least try to confirm/scrutinize Travis’s claim that we called every power 4 team. It would seem that if it weren’t true, someone on background at least would say “Travis is full of shit he never called us,” particularly now that we are such a big story.
