I will say this… until last month, Mark Adams was “the color commentator for the Penno game.” Seriously. I’m not sure how many, if any, Miami games he called since that glorious March night in 2007 until last month’s home game vs. UMass. But he is right up there with Wally in terms of being the biggest supporter/advocate we have on TV right now.
Wow, I didn’t realize Devin Davis was at Friday’s game. How cool! DD was so fun back in the 90s, with Michaelis, Kramer, Bellou … Miami would draw a good 4-5K for home games back then, and it was a really great experience. I can only imagine what 2 sellouts at Millett must be like, and so pleased for the students who get to see it first hand!

If you can get through Doyel “Aw shucks” folksy writing that I’ve personally grown a bit tired of, its actually a pretty unique story into the journey of Steele. In the media world where I’ve heard all the Steele quotes, I hadn’t heard all the anecdotes in this piece.
