Anyone know what time?

Isn’t the next line “Does anybody really care?”

Great to be back in their presence!
First impressions:
This team is tall!!
Waltz has gained weight, he’ll see time this season.
Robbins has lost weight, but he grew a beard, so there is that.
Everyone was present and accounted for. It took me an hour before I realized Luke wasn’t there. But he was there- he was on the bench. Evan sat out a lot of drills in favor of just shooting, but looked good.
I counted 16 recruits/guests sitting in the chairs on the court.

I understand Woolfolk present as well

Keep going Digital. Who looks improved? How did the new guys look?

Excellent! When I talked to him after the Akron game last year, I asked if the physicality of an important conference game was surprising. He didn’t confirm or deny that, but this extra strength will help him in many ways.

The scrimmage was actually a series of drills. Not sure why Steele changed things, but the actual scrimmage only lasted about 20 minutes. The new guys all seem to fit in nicely. Rolfs looked very comfortable under the basket, nice footwork, and a good touch. Leshawn Stowers played a lot of PG with Evan and Luke out. He’s high energy and doesn’t back down from contact. Kind of a bookend with Justin Kirby. Since the scrimmage was shortened, it was hard for anyone to stand out from a scoring standpoint.
There was lots of talking, lots of enthusiasm, and several F bombs from Steele.

Thanks for the report!

I have said it before, Stowers will be the surprise player this year that Kirby was last year.

I agree. Steele has been very high on him; he was the same with Kirby, and we all know how he turned out.

Some UConn fans on Twitter attended and complimented how the team/coaching looked.

Love that he was playing some PG. He has the size to play a Suder type of position. More of a 3 size-wise for the MAC, but would give us great versatility if he can also handle the ball like Pete could. So excited for the potential depth on this team.

Without Woolfolk, our depth and versatility are good. If he is back depth and versatility are insane! Lots of reasons to be excited for BB!

Stowers and Kirby are going to be our “Dynamic Duo”.
