4 days ago I got my third anniversary badge, reminding me this iteration of MHT has been around ~4 years. That’s now 4 years worth of posts and uploads and I need to upgrade the storage. I’ll be doing that overnight at some point this week to try to minimize disruptions - and give me time to fix anything if I fubar it. Don’t worry, I’ll be creating a backup before I start! Plenty of lurkers, but the actives are very active. ~65% of MHT’s monthly active users are also daily active users. A healthy figure is usually anything over 20%.
Ok, we’re live! I nearly tripled our storage and completed a full update of all the software while I was at it. Apologies for anyone who was just trying to access the site - it was less straightforward than expected and I ended up rolling back to a previous backup at one point. But, we’re set right in time for the start of basketball season and MACtion.
Jive - great job on the site - great " First Amendment " site for MU sports and other totally unrelated subjects- also great site to provide often much needed assistance to the Athletic program and of course excellent " advice " to our coaches! How can we provide some financial assistance for the site?
I appreciate the offer, but the athletic department will hopefully better use the money if directed toward them. The site costs less than $40/month to run, which is less than some TV subscriptions. I find more entertainment here anyway.
