I come from an era where we own BUGS, and I expect it to continue! We are playing well and will take them 31-24.
P.S. is Cade going to be able to play? Sure would be nice to have him back.

24-17 Miami

27-20 defending champs

17-14 Miami

Prediction: Cloudy, low 16 degrees high 31.
Miami wins by 6.

Both defenses are allowing 15.4 ppg in conference play and the weather forecast is saying high 20s with a chance of snow. BG’s best offensive player is going to be out or at least limited.

28-21 Miami. Keyon runs like his shoes are on fire and we get some big receptions.

24-17 Miami.

This is a tough one. I predicted 7-5 before the season and have gotten them all right so far. It isnt always going to be our day and BG seems really good- but in the end I have faith in our QB and coach

Miami 20
BG 17

Defense wins championships. We have a terrific defense. And our offense is playing at a high level. Score–Miami 27 BG 17.

Overtime

After the teams exchanged punts to start the game, Miami drew first blood with a 32-yard FG. Miami then increased the lead when Brett Gabbert found an open Reggie Virgil for the 17-yard catch and run for the game’s first TD. BG finally generated some offense and cut the lead on wind-assisted 46-yard FG. I don’t know how William Hardick didn’t block it. He was almost there too early and somehow missed the ball during his dive. The score was 10-3 at the half. BG woke up in the second half, marching methodically down the field to tie the game on a 4-yard jet sweep. Dom reclaimed the lead but early in the 4th, Connor Bazelak hit Harold Fannin Jr. (yes, I had Fannin in there and totally healthy just to cover all bases) for the 20-yard TD. BG’s defense stood tall on consecutive possessions and eventually hit a FG to bump the lead to 20-13 with just 1:55 remaining. Miami scored just 5 plays later. The drive was highlighted by what nearly was an interception intended for Virgil that was batted in the air by the DB and caught by diving Jack Coldiron for 23 yards. Two plays later, Cade McDonald (yes, I had Cade back in there, too) took a short drag pattern 25 yards to the 15 and Miami tied it on the next snap when Gabbert found Keyon Mozee for the easy TD with 50 seconds remaining. Oddly, despite having the full timeout collection, the Falcons were content heading to OT.

Miami had the ball first and after Virgil barely converted a 3rd & 3, Jordan Brunson barreled in from 5 yards out. That was Brunson’s only snap of the game. And it turned out to be the game-winner.

After BG picked up 13 on its first play, Bazelak threw into double coverage in the end zone… and Silas Walters picked it off to send the RedHawks to Detroit. It was the only turnover in the entire game.

Gabbert was 19/26 for 216 yards and 2 TDs. Mozee finished with 86 yards on the ground and 32 through the air, including the game-tying TD. Brunson’s stat line of 1 carry for 5 yards and 1 TD was rather amusing. Gabbert spread around the targets nicely, as Javon Tracy finished as the leading receiver with 57 yards.
