Press giving Miami problems. Lead down to 12.
Last 3 minutes poor defense and too much fouling
Recovered after a timeout. I think they needed to fix how they played the screen for Sabol.
=>BORTZ!!!
This team really has the potential to make some noise in the MAC. Don’t break my heart
Winner.
Really pleased with the first 32 minutes, not so much the last 8. Byers not only shot it well but played well defensively too. I thought this was one of Woolfolk’s better games, strong on the glass, finished well around the basket. Craft’s shot selection was better. The first of the 2 he hit late wasn’t a great shot choice given the time of the game but it ended up being the dagger. Overall, a good start to the conference play. Tough trip to Muncie coming up.
Great teams cover.
Interestingly, both Buffalo and Miami shot 50% from the 3 point line w Buffalo making 20 to Miami’s 17. Buffalo shot 51% from the field while Miami shot 45%, but Miami took 71 shots to Buffalo"s 55. Part of that may be due to our rebounding edge of 39 to 33.
Wollfork had the kind of box we need him to have. Solid points and rebounds. Going over the box, it’s pretty impressive overall. 9 players getting significant minutes. Night and day talent improvement. Grade:A
This balance is going to be fun to watch. And Ipsaro looks very hesitant now, but is capable. I agree with Yellow the Prophet, woolfolk needs to rebound. But you can tell he really wants to score.
Yea us!

Buffalo had 20 attempts, not makes.
Yikes! That’s what I get from reading the stats and expecting to memorize for 10 minutes until I can make a post!
Dan Luers scored 20 against Defiance. He didn’t play today. That’s depth.
When’s the last time we had all 5 starters score in double figures?
When was the last time Miami shot 50% from 3 back-to-back games? And against SHU they were 17-35; almost 3 straight. And 14 turnovers combined in the last two games.
We came in 7th in the nation in 3-point makes per game (11.2).
I don’t know if it was the last time, but the same 5 starters were all in double figures in the championship game in Fort Meyers.
