Portal News of possibilities / wouldn't think exits re: us

This is going to be more pronounced on the WBB side of things compared to men also;

  • Fewer dollars allocated by school, but external marketing dollars are bigger, and bigger schools have better access.
  • fewer global professional slots
  • older rosters, and P5s will prioritize older players, leave development to mid majors.
  • WNBA requires 4 years post high school, less turnover

Emily VanTimmeren in the portal.

I believe Edey from Purdue got screwed on NIL due to him being Canadian but maybe they are past that already?

Mio Sakono also in the portal. Here is the complete list of Miami players in the portal, so far:

[Miami (OH)*

Emily VanTimmeren, 6-3, F, Fr. (1.1 ppg)
Mio Sakano, 5-10, G, Jr. (1.5 ppg)
Macie Taylor, 5-7, G, Jr. (3.9 ppg)
Tamar Singer, 5-4, G, Soph. (10.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 6.9 apg)
Ilse de Vries,* 6-3, F, Soph. (12.7 ppg, 4.9 rpg)

There are currently 44 MAC women’s basketball players listed in the portal, but that list is not complete.

Mio Sakona is in the portal? I think I could beat her one on one and I am 57 years old

Yes, Mio is in the portal. Glenn will reload.

We now have four players on the roster.

Four more than Tennessee has!

God provided the opportunity, but was not consulted in the decision-making. Tough look.

Probably not a great strategy to call your players quitters halfway through the season. Or to forget to play one of your seniors on senior night.

the fall of that program post Pat Summit has been WILD

They just lost their top incoming freshman as well-the Vols.

ON3 mentions de Vries to Kentucky.
