Nah, they still got a Tomlin as coach….
Bend not break defense so far today. Can’t expect that to continue so the offense is going to have to step up.
That’s what happens when Mike hires bottom of the barrel old coordinators
I think DK is getting the week off next week…
Never a doubt!!!
Omg. What the heck just happened? Crazy ending.
That’s karma for Bettis’ coin toss call on Thanksgiving way back when…
I mean…..that DET threw a helluva pick
Lions gunna Lions.
Thanks Steelers. Signed, a Bears fan.
This angle seemingly guarantees a large fine or suspension.
They interviewed the fan in the Freep and asked him what he said to Metcalf. He said “You don’t need to know what I said to him, you just need to watch the camera.”
Which leads me to two conclusions:
- Metcalf can’t go after this guy.
- But he damn well should be allowed to.
Yeah f that guy. DK’s gonna get punished deservedly but if the fan is a season ticket holder, he should no longer be…
Metcalf will be fined, suspended, etc. And he should be. But there is no way in hell that he reacted that way if all the guy called him was his full legal name. Bull.
From PFT:
Per NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, Metcalf previously reported the same fan to Seahawks security last season while still playing for the club.
Pelissero adds that a source close to Metcalf said the fan — who identified himself to the Detroit Free Press as Ryan Kennedy — called Metcalf’s mother a derogatory word and then called Metcalf “something we both know you don’t call a Black man.”
If that is the case, DK should have gone into the stands and administered a proper beating!
Somehow he got the same punishment as perryman for making a tackle. The nfl does not make sense
Possible theory: the worst comments the fan made to DK were in Seattle, but it didn’t get media coverage. This time around DK’s smack made it famous, even if the comments in Detroit may not have been as egregious on paper.
Metcalf’s four-year, $132 million contract from March notes that if he “fails… to practice or play with the Club for any reason,” which includes “Player’s suspension by the NFL or Club for Conduct Detrimental,” his guarantees “will be NULL AND VOID.”
They’d be stupid to get out of his contract, but it wouldn’t surprise me either
