Patrick has had a nice run this year on the Korn Ferry tour. I looked last night and he barely (on the number) made the weekend cut and now, I saw he shot -5 today and is in 14th. Huge improvement. Unlikely he can win as these guys shoot stupid low numbers, but if he plays another good round tmrow, he will get another high finish. He seems to be improving.
Patrick finished today with another low round. Currently in 22nd place. Huge weekend given where he started. I think he’s got the goods to win.
Patrick finished T8 (-13) this past weekend at the first PGA Tour Americas event of the year in Argentina. He was actually T1 after the first two rounds at -11, but cooled off a bit over the weekend. Still, a nice Top 10 finish to start the year. He was also listed as a “Player to Watch” on the PGA Tour Americas by the Monday Q website: PGA Tour Americas Fact Sheet.
Patrick also had a nice winter winning the Bakersfield Open on the Asher Tour and having a few high finishes in other events on that tour. Hopefully, he keeps building on this success and can finally crack full-time status on the Korn Ferry tour.
Charlie Nikitas also played in this tournament and finished T55 at 2-under. A nice showing in his first (I believe) PGA event.
Patrick has all the potential to make it. Just needs to get into some Monday Q’s. Korn Ferry is in some ways way tougher than the big tour. Good for Charlie as well.
Ps, where’s Brad A? He had a couple senior tour starts but nothing lately. Maybe he’s injured?
