Sort of - I doubt they go beyond 8 teams as there’s zero financial reason to do so.
The Wyomings of the world will be left behind to rebuild the MWC with Big Sky and MVC teams … which will also be a tough sell. IMO because everyone knows this is inevitable but want to ride out either media deals (MWC/AAC) or dominance (Big Sky/MVC) until forced to change in ~5ish years.
I’m pretty certain UTEP and NM State would jump to the MWC if offered the opportunity. But UNM might try to block that.
Utah State accepts an invitation to join the PAC12. That brings in the SLC market.
They have a following there, but Utah and BYU dominate the SLC market. No NFL does makes college football king in Utah.
This new PAC 12 sounds worse than the current MWC
