This team just went into Nippert on a Saturday night and won.
I’ll take our chances in Peden.

Wait until you see the musical virus I’ve got in store for OU. Naturally, I can’t announce it yet as it would give them time to prepare for it thus rendering it useless, but let’s just say it’s going to be a lot worse than Rock Lobster.
Comfortably Numb?
As noted, ISU was missing several key pieces. Great win in name, but on paper there was a lot less there. Then add that Rourke looked bad throwing. He really looks like he’s lost a lot of arm strength. He did look great running, and it was the only running attack they had. Cincinnati has a lot better line than ISU or OU, and I think Miami did well on both sides of the ball. They really could be a problem there, assuming no injuries by then.
Those coaches should be fired.
Not to mention that unlike the UC win, there is precedent for Chuck going into Peden as an underdog and pulling off a key upset as we saw in 2019. The 2021 loss was ridiculous since OU was in their Solich hangover and we showed up unprepared, but you would like to think that we’ll be coming off a big win the previous week versus Toledo and ready to kick some Bobkitten ass.
That’s literally just Tim Albin voting for his own team. I’m not exaggerating. He ranked themselves #21 in the final poll of last season. Only one other coach even had them ranked at all (Willie Fritz at #25). Albin is listed as a voter again this season, so that has to be it.

This would be as preposterous as me naming myself “poster of the year” on HawkTalk. I mean, I am, but there’s no need to goose the donkey if you know what I mean. I hope Frank gives him a lecture.
I’m pretty sure Tom Arth was the only voter to pick Akron to not be last a few seasons ago (and he had them winning the MACC). There’s being confident in your program and there’s looking silly, OU/Albin are falling in the latter.
