If Zona has Alaska and Hawaii, we should have USVI and Puerto Rico!
What are the odds Arizona State can pull it off this weekend ![]()
Rivalry game! They only lost by 3 on the road to Arizona
Actually seven. ASU an OK team.
Whoops, they did bring it within 3 in the final min, that’s probably what I remembered
Bobby Hurley very much coaching for his job (might be too late already) so you never know.
Miami also gets Greenland…that should settle the square mileage argument.
Hopefully we’ll never have to live in Happy Gilmore’s car port.
That’s not Venezuela though…
Arizona has a pretty tough 4-game stretch coming up in February.
Feb 9th - at #14 Kansas
Feb 14th - #11 Texas Tech
Feb 18th - #13 BYU
Feb 21st - at #10 Houston
Why would you need to use AI for that? Just manually place the Arizona logo on that depiction of Venezuela.
A few days ago when Nebraska was still undefeated the Omaha World Herald ran an article on Miami, it was an AP article, but it was still good to see it.
I have watched Miami play at Kent State, Akron, Butler, WSU and Alabama, as well as quite a few games at Millett whcih for me is a comfortable and a fairly low cost experience.
The only other game I can remember where there were 9000 fans at Millett was against Wright State in the 95-96 season. The game was neck and neck when Vitaly Potenpeko squared off against Devin Davis. Davis somehow got Potepenko to take a swing at him. I think Potepenko was promptly ejected which quieted down down the large WSU crowd. Miami then rolled to comfortable 18 or 19 point victory. If I remember correctly a few days later Miami dusted UD by 20 points. I think Miami beat Xavier that year too. I am going by memorary, so I may be off on a few details.
Vitaly played in the NBA I think. Excellent player. Devon was fantastic as well.
That Miami WSU game was like December 30th iirc (Edit: It was the 27th). Yes, it was a very large crowd. Attended with an IU grad who was a huge hoops fan, as it was a great opportunity to see Potapenko (future NBA 1st rounder) and Devin Davis. Freshman Wally Szczerbiak made it 2 NBA 1st rounders in that game.
I told him no need to go early, that students were gone. Opened doors to Millett and there must’ve been 200 people in line to buy tix. ![]()
Your memory of the game matches mine.
