It’s been a staff of 5 since 22-23 no?
Lol, true. Teams are allowed more “on ice” coaches than before.
ex Miami coach headed to Air Force
The Blue Line Club is hosting a meet the team event and skills competition Sept. 20th.
Judging based on posts from incoming players the team should be on campus pretty soon. I’m not sure why it took so long…most Miami teams are on campus and other college hockey teams have had their players there for weeks. Feels like this team would’ve needed the extra time most out of anyone
Here’s my prediction of the roster-
I’m not too confident on the numbers but I like to see if my first or second guess is correct😂 I don’t think Seelinger or Blanchard will be on the roster this year- they both might be young enough to do another year in the ushl (I don’t know the age rules too well but teams are allowed to have 3 20 year olds) and the team hasn’t announced them. Both still have mu hockey commit in their bios.
The only other player they haven’t officially announced is Shika but I went ahead and put him on my roster anyways because I don’t think we’re going to rock with only 2 goalies.
Isn’t Shika the perceived favorite to be Goalie #1?
It’ll probably be a competition between him and Drobac who did well as an invitee at Nashville Preds development camp. I don’t know too much about Motew but we have had a goalie come out of the NAHL and steal the show in recent years so I’m not writing him off😅
Of course right after I post my number predictions I see that a couple of our new players are already selling merch on influxer😂
Looks like Michael Phelan will be #73 and Benji Motew will be #35
Football schedule says that Sat.,9/20/25 is home football vs UNLV,kick time TBD.
Sounds like an excellent Day!
He may have eligibility issues. Hopefully won’t miss many, or any, games, but it’s unclear at this point.
Yes!! The meet the team event is at 9:30am so no chance it overlaps with the unlv game. The football coaches are already promoting tickets on twitter.

I personally hope it’s a noon kickoff so I don’t have to hang around too long after leaving Goggin to head to Yager. Last time at the event they served pizza for lunch after practice was over.
Bradley Walker will wear #21

Looks like Tri-City just traded for Brecken Smith, a commit who is staying in the USHL to play another year.
A couple years ago I talked to a scout that was really high on him. Decent season as a 17/18YO, would like to see a big step forward this season.
I was wondering (still do) if the Tri-City pipeline would continue with Noreen in Oxford. Maybe? Chances may have increased with Matt Barry coaching there.
Seems experienced!

Yeah, an AHL guy. Impressive signing. A good strength and conditioning guy can make a big difference. Like Matt Cady during Miami’s heyday.
more Gords = more wins
“Looking at the roster as a whole, there are already four NHL draft picks, with possibly a fifth on the way,” Spratt said. “It is starting to look more and more like an NCHC roster should. I’m just excited to get going.”
Did a feature on former RedHawk, now Dr. Marc Hagel.
Hockey players are always the best quotes.
Great article. Enjoyed the whole piece.
