Probably a big mistake by her and her advisors. All of our returning guards have entered the transfer portal and she figured to be a starter from day one.

Agree, Dick. With the volume of players currently in the portal, having a bird in the hand would seem to be very important to a high school recruit signed with a mid-major program. If she turns out not being a good fit for our new coach she could always jump in the portal after a season or two.
